Tutor levels

Our various tutor levels are designed to recognize your expertise and provide opportunities for growth.

Level 1 & Level 1+

Level 1

You are a knowledgeable high school graduate or current undergraduate student with strong subject expertise.

Level 1+

Level 1 and 100 hours or more tutored with Viz (10 of which must be on-demand).

Level 2 & Level 2+

Level 2

You have subject expertise by obtaining a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

Level 2+

Level 2 and 100 hours or more tutored with Viz (10 of which must be on-demand) at Level 2.

Level 3 & Level 3+

Level 3

You have subject expertise by obtaining a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and have completed Viz-approved teaching certificates and/or courses.

Level 3+

Level 3 and 100 hours or more tutored with Viz (10 of which must be on-demand) at Level 3.

Level 4 & Level 4+

Level 4

You are a certified teacher or hold a Master of Education.

Level 4+

Level 4 and 100 hours or more tutored with Viz (10 of which must be on-demand) at Level 4.

Level 5 & Level 5+

Level 5

You are a certified teacher with a Master of Education and have completed at least three additional qualification or professional development courses.

Level 5+

Level 5 and 100 hours or more tutored with Viz (10 of which must be on-demand) at Level 5.
