Viz’s tutors are carefully selected through a rigorous interview process and undergo thorough background checks to ensure safety and quality. Every tutor is highly qualified and evaluated for their teaching expertise. You have the flexibility to choose the tutor level that best fits your needs, ensuring a perfect match for every student.

Our custom-developed and tailored matching system takes into account various factors to ensure that each student has the best tutor match for them. 

We factor in each student’s: 

• Age
• Grade
• Location
• School curriculum
• Subject(s)
• Schedule/availability
• Preferred tutor gender
• Interests
• Language(s) spoken
• Specific learning requirements
• Any additional preferences indicated

Each session is 55 minutes.

Pricing is dependent on the tutor level and scheduling format (scheduled or on-demand) that you choose.

Viz’s tutoring sessions are purchased by using tokens on our platform. See our Token Policy for more information.

Our cost-per-session for scheduled tutoring sessions is as follows:

Level 1: Starting at $50 (includes processing fees)
Level 2: Starting at $58 (includes processing fees)
Level 3: Starting at $65 (includes processing fees)
Level 4: Starting at $73 (includes processing fees)
Level 5: Starting at $80 (includes processing fees)

On-demand sessions have an additional premium of $8 per session.

Our tutors are categorized into different levels reflecting their experience, educational credentials, and expertise. Each tutor level is set at a different price point allowing you to choose the one that best suits your needs and budget.

To determine if your child or you are improving, keep an eye out for the feedback provided by your tutor after each session, noting factors such as behaviour, focus, improvement, understanding of concepts, and what was worked on. Consistent positive feedback and improved comprehension are key indicators of improvement.

If you have any questions or would like to follow up with your tutor, you can do so on our in-platform messaging system.

If the tutor isn’t the right match, you can request a switch at any time, at no cost. We’ll work with you to find a tutor who better suits your needs, and rest assured, you won’t be rematched with that tutor at any time in the future.

Yes. Tutoring sessions are recorded and are available for 90 days. Within the 90 days, you can view and/or download the video. This is one of the main benefits of online tutoring.

Absolutely! Our innovative online tutoring platform is designed to provide an experience as engaging and effective as face-to-face sessions. With features like audio and video chat, interactive learning tools, and a focus on personalization, our platform ensures meaningful connections and impactful learning outcomes.

Before the session begins, students will be provided with a link that is seamlessly integrated within our innovative platform to access the tutoring session.

The video sessions include a built-in collaborative whiteboard equipped with interactive learning tools designed to enhance engagement and make lessons more dynamic and effective.

To participate in online tutoring sessions, you’ll need a computer or tablet equipped with a functioning microphone and camera (either built-in or external). A stable Wi-Fi connection is essential to ensure smooth, uninterrupted sessions and the best learning experience.

Please also ensure that you are in a quiet learning space with minimal distractions.

Payment for sessions is made using tokens, which can be purchased through Viz’s online platform. Tokens are available in packages, with larger packages offering a bigger discount per session. For scheduled sessions, tokens are automatically deducted from your account 24 hours in advance of the session time, while on-demand sessions are charged at the time of booking.

Cancellations can be made without penalty more than 24 hours before your scheduled session. Any cancellations made within 24 hours from the start of your tutoring session are non-refundable.
